There are many curves, twists, and turns on the way to our goals. Most of us are managing various duties and activities and doing our best to stay true to our goals. Needless to say there will be days and times when we simply want to say, “Nah. No. Nope. Not gonna happen.”
I know you’re familiar with being drained, doubtful or overwhelmed. If you're still close to your groove, you start to crave those times when you have more breathing room. You start to feel a pull toward what you love. And then you start mapping your way to that place.
You want more rest and time in a creative space. You've got some projects that you want to give more love. You've been taking baby steps because you've been overwhelmed with deadlines. You may be tired but you're also hopeful and excited about creating more space to blossom.
After all it’s Spring. Mother Nature is on our side. It’s time to bloom.
What’s magical for me is that as long as your vision is still clear, you can go toward what you love. Often when we’re tired and overwhelmed, we lose our vision, our big picture. Even though, it may not seem like it in the moment. When we’re at our lowest, we’ve got an opportunity to look up and find the highest peak.
Where we are is a step toward where we are going. So on those days when your spirit needs a boost try some of these strategies.
Spiritual Uplift
Ask yourself some key questions:
What inspires me?
What could someone say in my darkest hour that would turn on the lights for me?
What do I keep around my office, in my purse or on my phone to keep me uplifted?
Art, music, quotations, incense, scented candles, photographs, posters, podcasts and the list goes on. Surround yourself with a variety of tools to keep you inspired, energized, and full of faith.
No matter what you choose to have around for inspiration, remember that your goals and dreams work because of you. You bring something to the work you do that nobody else can bring.
Yes. You. Are. Special. You have a unique purpose. It’s your why. Honor it in everything that you do.
When you connect your work to your why, you have unlimited rocket fuel. You’ve got energy to move mountains and stay the course toward your goals.
Create a collage or word cloud that reminds you of the qualities that you value most about yourself. At the center, insert a phrase that describes the magical work you do in the world.
